We created an original world—Snow Factory—an anchor to the resort’s Christmas Celebration, which linked multiple attractions together in one story of a frozen factory that has turned into a wintery wonderland. The experience was designed and built in only three months, welcoming more than 100,000 guests safely during the 2020 holiday season.

approach

We designed with guest interactivity in mind, wanting to deliver something that looked permanent despite being a temporary installation. We also wanted to differentiate the experience from the neighboring Alpine Village area of the event, to create a totally different immersive experience for guests.

Snowball Build and Blast: guests created their own snowballs and tossed them to race against the clock to score points
Snow Flow Mountain: two different ice slide experiences with varying thrill levels
Snow Plaza: a place to dance and play in snow flurries
